The ISO 27001 certification has significantly bolstered Plentics’ credibility and operational efficiency. This certification differentiates Plentics from competitors by showcasing their high standard of information security management, providing a significant competitive advantage.

The certification process, completed in just six months in 2022, underscores Plentics’ dedication to information security. Bureau Veritas, the certifying body, was particularly impressed with Plentics’ innovative use of Azure DevOps to manage information security controls and risk management. The Bureau Veritas consultants concluded that using Plentics’ service offerings helped us achieve the certification. This achievement validates Plentics’ high standards and strengthens trust with partners and customers, ensuring the company’s information security management system (ISMS) meets global standards.

Since the ISO 27001 certification was granted in 2022, the follow-up work has continued annually in the form of audits, and compliance with the standard is continuously improving while the standard is upgraded. 

The NIS Directive 2 (NIS2) is an updated EU directive aimed at enhancing cybersecurity across the European Union. The European Parliament approved the new version of the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) in November 2022. The deadline for EU member states to transpose NIS2 into national law was October 17, 2024.

If a company already has an ISO 27001:2022 certificate, such as Plentics, it is well on its way to NIS2 compliance. While ISO 27001 certification does not automatically ensure NIS2 compliance, it covers the cybersecurity requirements set by NIS2, such as risk management and security controls. 

The development of Plentics began in 2016, supported by the resources and under the umbrella of Riihisoft. In early 2022, the endpoint management business was demerged off to Riihicloud, allowing Riihisoft’s two distinct business areas to operate as separate companies. This division enhanced efficiency and clarified communication, enabling each company to focus on its core business. Today, Riihicloud operates under the Plentics brand, while Riihisoft continues as a separate entity.
