Most Managed Service Providers (MSPs) today rely on Microsoft Intune as their foundation for unified endpoint management (UEM). Intune is designed as a policy and management layer. It intentionally does not expose all device-level telemetry that MSPs need for proactive support and lifecycle management.

With Plentics' Endpoint Analytics, you donโ€™t just get a unified view of all Intune data in one place โ€“ the platform goes further. Through the Plentics client software, Plentics enriches this information with additional, highly valuable properties that Intune or Microsoft 365 do not provide in multitenant view or at all.

Unlike traditional always-on agents, Plentics client activates only when needed, using scheduled tasks instead of continuous background services. This ensures minimal resource usage and does not cause any impact on end-user performance.

Here are some of the extended data points collected directly from Windows endpoints:

  • ๐Ÿ’ฟ OS details:Edition, OS features, Windows Updates

This level of operating system detail helps MSPs identify unsupported editions, missing features, and update inconsistencies that can otherwise remain hidden in standard Intune views, especially across multiple tenants.

  • ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Security insights:TPM version, BitLocker recovery key ID, antivirus and firewall status, Defender scan history and configuration

These security insights make it possible to detect hidden compliance gaps and security risks โ€“ such as missing TPM support or incomplete encryption โ€“ that are difficult to assess reliably without endpoint-level telemetry.

  • ๐Ÿ’ป Hardware informationRAM, processor, attached monitors, SystemSKU

Detailed hardware data supports lifecycle planning, troubleshooting, and capacity decisions by giving MSPs a clear picture of device suitability, performance constraints, and refresh needs.

  • ๐Ÿ‘ค User & usage dataNumber of local admins, last logged on user, logon time, last boot and uptime

Provides critical context for support and security teams, helping them understand how devices are actually used and where risks such as excessive local admin access may exist.

  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Support & inventoryInstalled applications, TeamViewer ID

Having this information readily available reduces time spent on manual checks and accelerates troubleshooting by ensuring technicians have the right context before taking action.

On top of this, Endpoint Analytics Integrating directly with Lenovo, Dell, and HP warranty systems, giving you real-time warranty status without manual lookups โ€“ removing the need for browsing through multiple vendor portals and helps MSPs avoid unexpected repair costs or delays during incident resolution.

For MSPs, this means:

  • Much deeper visibility into endpoint health and risks
  • Actionable insights that simply arenโ€™t available from Intune or Microsoft 365
  • Proactive support capabilities, from spotting outdated updates to reducing local admin risks
  • Automated warranty checks that save time and prevent surprises
  • And best of all: you can enable alerts and reporting on top of this enriched data, turning visibility into real-time action.

In short: Plentics does not replace Intune data. It completes it.
