ICT Elmo Grows with Plentics: Transforming Device and Tenant Management

ICT Elmo, a managed service provider in Finland’s Tampere-Helsinki-Turku region, has significantly enhanced its device and tenant management capabilities through Plentics Suite. Axel Rosenberg, Microsoft Cloud Architect at ICT Elmo, explained in an interview hosted by Timo Hämäläinen of Plentics how the collaboration has driven efficiency and scalability.

With 100 employees delivering tailored ICT services across southern Finland, ICT Elmo has become known for its technical versatility and customer focus. Two years ago, the company selected Plentics Suite to streamline software packaging and deployment in Microsoft Intune.

“Plentics started as a packaging and patching tool but quickly became a core part of our operations,” said Rosenberg. The Tenant Cloning feature [available in Tenant Management], which allows baseline settings to be copied to customer environments, has been transformative. “We can now complete onboarding tasks in two hours instead of a full day, ensuring consistency and efficiency.”

Enriched Data and Seamless Integration

Plentics’ integration with ICT Elmo’s ITSM system, Matrix42, has further improved operations by enriching customer data. Metadata collected by Plentics provides a detailed view of device ownership, specifications, and usage. “This enriched data gives us a comprehensive view of customer environments, helping us deliver better service,” Rosenberg noted.

Rosenberg praised Plentics’ support and resources. “The support team is responsive and efficient. They’ve resolved every issue we’ve encountered,” he said, adding that the detailed documentation available in the portal has been equally helpful.

Opportunities for Growth

While highly satisfied with Plentics, Rosenberg suggested expanding the library of prepackaged applications to make the tool even more valuable. “A bit broader list would make an already excellent tool even better,” he remarked.
